The railcars were comfortable but called for special luggage which highly qualified craftsmen still produce today and we shall be privileged to visit the ateliers. Take your time to enjoy a bit of nostalgia as you imagine traveling slowly and as comfortably as possible in the past. An experience not to be missed and let us gather to share our impressions with a closing toast savoured in a private international club on the Champs Elysees.

Luxury being a key element of past and present creativity, we shall pursue our tour in Pantin, the working suburb of Paris where the most luxurious designers have set up their ateliers. To climax the extravaganza, we have organized a “by invitation only” moment in Versailles to visit Queen Marie Antoinette’s private apartments and surroundings.

FAMILY DAYS – 4 day program

Family travels can be stressful but PARIS Unlimited has created a program of visits organized with the younger members in mind, attractive to all. Tickle your family’s curiosity with a new twist getting around the Louvre, the Cathedral of Notre Dame or the Opera de Paris. Walking through some of the more cosmopolitan areas of the city can be a real eye opener for all. And the restlessness one can feel in the city will certainly be relieved with an outing to the Chateau de Chantilly offering the opportunity of horseback riding or strolling through the magnificent grounds breathing fresh country air.

For history buffs interested in Napoleon, PARIS Unlimited has composed an exciting program with the guidance of a historian of this period. First stop at Musée du Luxembourg to see the temporary exhibit, through June 29th, devoted to Empress Josephine stressing the major role she played in defining “the Napoleon Style”. Guided by our historian, you will then scrutinize Napoleon reminders in other museums such as the Louvre, Marmottan, Musée de la Légion d’Honneur and in other places – not usually accessible to the public – carrying the Emperor’s memory. The climax will be our visit at the Château de Fontainebleau where he bid farewell to the nation in April 1814.

A one-day program composed of three visits each approximately one hour to Place Vendôme, home to the most sophisticated French art de vivre. You will be invited behind the doors and discover the time honored traditions in savoir-faire and the unparalleled creativity of the Maisons who represent the excellence of European art of living.

A favourite place of Marie-France, the Palais Royal with its elegant arcades and its tranquil gardens possesses an atmosphere within itself. She has created an itinerary which illustrates the essence of the French woman’s touch, with stops at boutiques which will be ours while we are there. Our scheduled visits will include a glove maker, a jeweller, a perfume designer and end with a whimsical show presented by fan maker.
