History & Landmarks

We create private tours and personalized itineraries in and around Paris that offer a unique luxury experience to elite travelers.

WE PROVIDE INVITATIONS TO PRIVATE CHATEAUX AND TOURS WITH OWNERS WHO ARE DELIGHTED TO SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE WITH AMATEURS AND CONNOISSEURS.

With over 11,326 chateaux in France, Paris surroundings count among the most outstanding with Chateaux de Versailles, Chantilly, Fontainebleau, Vaux-le-Vicomte and Compiegne, all within an easy day trip from Paris. With Paris Unlimited, doors will open to a world inaccessible to the public and we will arrange private visits for you accompanied by a curator.

This is a particularly good year to visit or re-visit Versailles, as the Chateau is celebrating the 400th anniversary of Andre-Francois Lenotre, Louis XIV’s brilliant landscape architect and inventor of “Jardins à la Française” (French gardens). Lenotre also designed the gardens of Vaux-le-Vicomte and Chantilly and these two chateaux are dedicating exhibitions to this illustrious architect.

A visit to Versailles can include Queen Marie Antoinette’s private apartments where she would retire from life at Court to a charming décor created by her favourite architect, Richard Mique. Discover her beauty rituals, reading and pastimes with her children. Walk the secret passages leading from the Queen’s apartments to the King’s chamber and penetrate into the Royal apartments through the back door to feel the astonishing contrast between the private and public lives of these Monarchs.

With a more contemporary viewpoint, discover modern life at a chateau and what owners are doing to address eco-concerns in their historical gardens.

In the Loire Valley, Paris Unlimited will allow you to live the life of a chateau owner and introduce you to Prince Louis-Albert de Broglie. Better known under his eponymous brand name “Le Prince Jardinier”, this ingenious and creative Prince has come up with an initiative his ancestors would be proud of. In order to sustain the ecosystem around his Château de La Bourdaisière, he has created an extraordinary garden exhibiting over 630 varieties of tomatoes.
